The 2008 Holiday Pack is NOW FREE and includes;
United Kingdom holidays, Muslim holidays, Jewish holidays, Canadian holidays, and Catholic holidays. The Catholic holiday
calendars note which days are Holy days of Obligation and includes an Advent calendar. The Jewish calendar notes which days
work is permitted.
Also included is the 2008 Democratic and Republican political party Primaries. It lists each states primary, caucus and/or
convention. Note these are subject to change by each states but are accurate as of 12-13-07.
The '08 Holiday Pack also includes the 2008 Days of the Year. This is a calendar that counts each day of the year and
how many days are left in the year. For example, January 23rd, 2008 is listed as 23-343. It is the 23rd day of the year and
343 days are remaining. This is very handy if you need to quickly calculate a date 60, 90, or 120 days from a particular date.
The pack also includes Odd and Bizarre Holidays of '08. Each day has at least one entry (except July 16th). Most days
have several entries.
Examples include; May 9th is Military Spouse Day, August 13th is Left Hander's Day, September 19th is International Talk
Like a Pirate Day.
A text file is included with the download listing what holidays each .dba file contains.
Each .dba file is separate. You pick which calendars you want to install and which you don't. If you don't want to install
all the calendars but would still like to have easy access to the different holidays you can do the following trick.
Using Palm Desktop, create an additional User by clicking, Tools, then Users. A window will appear. Click 'New..' and
create a new 'User' by naming is anything other than your HotSync name. You can create as many different calendars as you
like using this method. Next, while still using the newly created 'User', Import the .dba file of your choosing and that is
it.
The calendar will appear while using this 'User' only. It will not HotSync to your Palm but will be easily available for
reference.
